With the vast amount of cars becoming available when they turn 25, does anyone know of a reputable business that sells imported cars?
Also I never thought of it but why not import a skyline and such from the UK? I'd think its cheaper and cars don't cost that much more there, especially petrol ones.
Pic not related, just my desktop background(;

International Vehicle Importers is awesome. They have 3 skylines for sale ATM

UK Skylines are a lot harder to find, I think.
As for a reputable business, no idea. Motorex used to grey import skylines before getting shut down.
You'll also have a lot better luck with a GTS-T than a GT-R.

I do, but they typically ship to Australia. I am not sure they actually ship to America. Obviously, I'm glad I'm not moving back to the US. It would suck not to be able to take the GA with me.

Bird and I are in the process of starting our import company right now. So far we've brought in 2 cars. We should be fully up and running in a few months. We've been writing about it here on Oppo.
So if you're looking anytime in the coming months, keep a lookout here for our announcement of our grand opening.
Are you specifically looking for a Skyline or did you have other cars in mind?

D13B7:
1998–2001 Honda Logo 3D/5D
Displacement : 1,343 cc (82.0 cu in)
Bore and Stroke : 75.0 x 76.0 mm
Compression : 9.2
Power : 66 PS (48.5 kW; 65.1 hp) at 5,000 rpm
Torque : 11.3 kgm (110.8 Nm; 81.7 lbfft) at 2,500 rpm
Valvetrain : SOHC (2 valves per cylinder)
Fuel Control : Multi-point fuel Injection, PGM-FI
Looks like this, it's got DC/EG mounts, but it's basically an EK engine. It's like a transition between the two, I guess.

That's badass!
Personally I'd like maybe an EF civic shuttle or 4 door R32 GTS/GTS-T... Something a little quick but practical so hatch or sedan. I can't name many that fall in those two categories personally but maybe you guys can suggest stuff.

The X81 Toyota Chaser could be good option. Don't know when you're looking to buy, but the version with the 1JZ will be legal starting next August.

Well, I have a TS, which means that actually, the engine I have is a bit better. It's actually 91PS/89hp, iirc. It's 16valve instead of 8valve, but is still a 1.3L, I think it's probably like a d13b7a or something like that. I'll snap a picture of my bay tomorrow and share it with you.
No plans for a swap at the moment. 89HP may not seem like a lot, but the GA is extremely light. It's really quick already. Since it's my DD, I think my own emphasis is going to be on interior -> exterior -> engine, in that order. I might make the engine bay pretty, do some wire rearranging, paint the valve cover... I did a D16Y mini-me (D16y8 head on the d16y7 block) swap back in 2004, so I have to wonder if any of the D-series VTEC heads are compatible with the d13B7 block, because that's pretty simple...
ETA: Looks like the d16z6 head on the d13b block is possible:

89HP sounds more safe and fun then the 65 I read haha at 890kg that thing must really zip around corners easily
I really wish we had them here, and see someone cram a J series instead of the usual K.
Is yours a 3 or 5 door?

Somewhere in the next 1-2 years but willing to wait 4 years considering I'll be out of college with more money. If there'll be nicer cars by then I'd really rather wait I guess.
And that thing is sweet with the rear deck lid! 1JZ-GTE is what you meant I'm guessing, and lots of glass just how I like it.

89.8bhp, to be exact, and that is bone stock (I just did the conversion from the 91PS). It's a 5 door.

We're really into the HR31 Skyline 4 doors right now. No B-pilar and lots of glass. These are available now, and we're considering bringing one in soon.

If you're willing to wait, a lot of cool 4 door VIP cars will become available.

The last time I saw a similar Honda engine, it was an Accord SE - 1997 model. That thing guzzled gas like no other. And it got repo'd. It was my father's car, though.

That one would be a high dollar example. They were available with a lot of different engines. Cheap models would be around 10k, but a few thousand more would get you a much better car.

One with a RB20DET, and interior at least leather would do. Without major needs interior/exterior but I can do mechanical work.

Yep! RSX-S with 109k miles and pretty much all stock besides Pioneer speakers, an AEM SRI, aftermarket headlights with projector housing and angel eyes, also awful altezza taillghts that came with the car I've yet to change that I really should but lazy.

I'll take a few tomorrow, and I think I will trade my A's for H's with this guy at work, if I can convince him^_^
I think it needs a drop really bad. Compared to a lowered DC5 it looks like a monster truck right now.

Why not check out German classifieds also? http://www.mobile.de/?lang=en Some great deals to be found there. The main site has an English version but many of the ads themselves will still be in German but Google Chrome with auto translate on can help if you sprechen kein Deutschuse. (speak no German) :)

Here's my car on the left with the cars of the guys I work with. The other RSX with the CF hood has a k24 swap, while the guy with the S2k has an EF hatch with a b16 turbo he's still building along with a REALLY clean EF civic wagon that's bone stock.
